Of course not. The vast majority of consumer goods are made overseas and the trade war will result in higher prices, so expect inflation. Even if manufacturing comes back to the US, it's going to take a while to set up so in the meantime expect high prices

Stop worrying about it. So far Trump's taffiffs amount to less than 1% of our international trade.

I am totally Independent, and I whole heartedly agree with what he is doing. when I found out those treaties had that in it, where they can add charges of 300% on things, and we only get to add charges of 100%, then that is just not fair, not right, not business, and DEFINITELY NOT A WAY TO CONDUCT TRADE at all.

Trade is a never ending negotiation. Why when someone says the negotiation isn't working in their interests it is now a war is beyond me.

Perhaps negotiate a trade with someone and see. Offer to trade one GI Joe figure for a PlayStation and see what it's all about. People will get pushy, loud, maybe even seem a bit crazy but that is what it's all about. You crazily offer a $2000 car for sale for $2500 and I'll offer $1500 then we'll negotiate from both of our crazy numbers to the reasonable number in between. Snowflakes freaking out thinking things are war is immature.

Whole cities like Detroit and Flint have been devastated by free trade. Are we proud, is it fair?

Well, why don't we burn that bridge when we come to it?

What if your predictions of a trade war don't pan out? Then what?
