    Let 2/3=0.666... in the base of 10 be

    0.666...(10)

    Now let 0.abc... (8)=0.666...(10), then

    a=0.6*8~5

    b=0.06*8^2~4

    c=0.006*8^3~3

    =>

    0.666...(10)=0.543...(8)

    =>

    the 8th digit=5

    16/24. multiply 3 x 8 = 24 and multiply 2 x 8 = 16; for 16/24.

  • 2/3 = x/8

    8 * 2/3 = x

    16/3 = x

    15/3 + 1/3 = x

    5 + 1/3 = x

    (5 1/3) / 8 = 2/3

    You won't have an integral number of eighths.

    2/3 = (2/3)/1 = (2/3)8/8 = (16/3)/8 = (5⅓)/8
