What do you like most and hate most about a Mercedes/BMW? What are some things you should know about the car if you are going to own/buy one?

The maintenance will kill you. My C Class takes 8.5 quarts of Mobil One 0W-40 oil. An oil change is over $100

like: nothing

hate: the owners who only buy them to pretend that they are "superior" and to insult all others who drive a different brand, the prices, the bad reliablitiy

In german cars everything you feel is high quality, everything else is NOT.

Nowadays there are plenty better alternatives that drive just as nice but are better in every other way, so the only reason to buy one is being a badge-whore.

What I like most is the way they drive. What I dislike most is the high cost of purchasing, insuring and maintaining them.

That's why I wouldn't buy either, even if I could afford it. I'm well past the age where owning the right vehicle would get me laid.

They are German, don't do it

Both of these brands are very expensive to maintain. An oil change for my Mercedes cost $125.00

If your income is NOT in the mid to upper six figures, get a Toyota.

They cost too effing much for regular maintenance. Their construction is everly complicated. They are very sure-footed and comfortable. Enjoy you new car.

It won't get you laid, no matter what you may have heard.

I think both are overpriced. Neither have appealing styling. Try sitting in a Mercedes seat for a few hours. if it does not bother your back, I will be surprised.

I personally think that bmw is the ugliest car ever. All of them.
