How can I increase my resistance/endurance while exercising?

I've recently started exercising more. I walk everyday but I walk very slow. Lately I have been trying to walk faster to burn more calories but I can't seem to walk much because I start to feel extremely tired right away. I can't even jog because I immediately run out of breath. I want to change this, however. Any advice on how I can become a better walker/jogger and not get tired so easily? I exercise 5 times a week for 30 minutes, 3 times a day.

Trust me I feel out of breath too every time I run and I used to be a Cross country runner, and a sprinter on track, so it is normal, you sometimes have to push through it. Also I would change the training regime.
