Why not ask the entering illegal kids if their parents have cell phones then call parents to find out why they abandoned the kids?

If the child is abandoned by parents, hand the kid over to its country's consulate for repatriation & reunification with relatives. NO illegal-alien child should ever go into foster care, or be released to some "relative" in the US. This simply promotes child abuse, neglect, abandonment. No unaccompanied minors should be admitted to US. They stay with their parent(s) & get returned to their own country immediately. Or else go to their consulate & let their country handle prompt repatriation & reunification. Stop child smuggling, stop child abuse, stop child abandonment.

Too easy to circumvent...can't verify parents' information...too easy to scam the government.

Those kids are not abandoned by their parents. They wewr forcibly taken away by ICE agents like the Nazis they (The agents) are!
