It is the Devil that causes men to contend one with another. Contention is not of God. He would have us live together in harmony. But how do you live in harmony with someone who wants to kill you? Sometimes the proud and the wicked need to be humbled.

Yes for sure, that is why GOD send down HIS only religion called Islam meaning Peace to the world for all mankind .Unfortunately Satan want wars among mankind to kill each other as we seen from the past till present and the future to come . May GOD prevent that.

Yep. In the Book of Judges when God has a discourse with Gideon one of the Israelite judges it says "But the Lord said to him 'Peace be to you; do not fear you shall not die'. Then Gideon built an altar there to the Lord and called it 'The Lord is peace'"(Judges 6:23-24)

There are people who will quote mine certain passages from the Bible to say "Well see, God in the Bible is this immoral, ethnic cleansing, violent maniac"(que to the Richard Dawkins of the world). But the reality is that the Bible shows us different aspects of God's character.

When it comes to violence God is depicted both as a Warrior and also a peacemaker in the Old Testament. The Prophet Isaiah speaks of God as being someone who abritrates disputes among nations and gets them to beat the weapons of war into the ground learn peace(Isaiah 2:4). The Psalms speaks of God making righteousness, peace and justice embrace(Psalm 85). In the Book of Chronicles God forbids David from building a Temple in his name because he has "shed too much blood" saying the one who is to build his Temple is a man of peace(1 Chronicles 22). So there is plenty in the Old Testament where God is a peacemaker, which many ignore.

At the same time God is also a warrior, but his warrior image has a context as well. Israel was a nation that was oppressed by the surrounding empires of their age. So God is depicted as a warrior that fights for the oppressed. So in the Exodus, God is seen as a warrior who fights for the slaves against the forces of imperialism and domination as well as the religious aristocracy that props it up. In Joshua's conquest the Israelites are entering the land of their ancestors as slaves, refugees and outsiders in the model of the Jews escaping the death camps of Europe. So God is depicted as a warrior that fights for the stranger and refugee. And in everyone of those images, he also passes an extremely harsh judgement against those with power and privilege who weaponize it for oppression

Read the bible and you'll see, clearly not. That character is barbaric and grotesque. Let's just all be thankful it doesn't actually exist.

You mean the god who ordered the Israelites to literally rip unborn fetuses from the wombs of their mothers?

There are peaceful gods but the Old Testament god is not one of them. All you have to do is read the Bible to discover that. The Christian god of the New Testament is nicer and more peaceful than his father but he also had a temper. Peace does not seem to be the aim of the followers of the New Testament god, however, and they are constantly at war.

It is the truth that spirits get peace only from God. Your spirit has the pain of separation that's why it finds its true love, it is separated from the source of the universe that is God. It seems with the eyes of the body so it finds peace in the creations but it only gets disappointments in this world. Everything leaves it even its body again and again in every birth. You see illusions has no end, if death is truth then there should be a plethora of dead bodies present on the earth. Where from life is coming? Where are previous dead bodies? Life death repeats it has no end. This is kaal Jaal. The trap of Mahakaal. No one is save here all grind in the duality.
