Yahoo Answers is shutting down on May 4th, 2021 (Eastern Time) and beginning April 20th, 2021 (Eastern Time) the Yahoo Answers website will be in read-only mode. There will be no changes to other Yahoo properties or services, or your Yahoo account. You can find more information about the Yahoo Answers shutdown and how to download your data on this help page.

Why do people on this site ask questions that can be easily solved with a quick google?

They obviously have a damn internet connection!

Googling doesnt always provide a good answer. You get millions of results related to your question, but no single page that says "this is what you want to know, and ita definitely right". I guess some people find it easier to deal with potential trolling and armchair experts than read through all the relevant data themselves

Jeeze ... I asked that same question a few months ago and got fined 10 points by Yahoo and they threatened to disallow me to answer questions. Be careful ... apparently Yahoo is very sensitive about being criticized. They never actually gave me a specific reason for the fine and the threat. I've been answering computer questions on here for many years and because of the stupid questions I could care less if Yahoo shut me off from answering questions.
