Does this sound like hemorrhoids?

I'm a 27 year old male, well for at least a couple of year at times ill get this rectal sharp pain when needing to go number 2, once I poop it goes away. Lately I've had this itch around the anus, as well as the feeling of something being inside there like a hair or something, i also get a few spots of bright blood on the tissue paper ever so often when my anus feels irritated, so I'm guessing its the anus that bleeding maybe an open tear or something considering or happens when the anus either burns or itches. Anywho I will mention this to my doc during my next physical soon, but I figured it may be hemorrhoids because of the stories I've heard, I've also heard about colon cancer as well as rectal cancer and neither of those seem like what I am experiencing.

It MAY be hemorrhoids, young sir, but it MAY also be an anal fissure ... a tiny tear in the walls of the rectum. There are treatments for both conditions.

It is ALMOST CERTAIN that it is NOT colon cancer, sir. The reason I say this is that you report "spots of bright blood on the tissue paper". If it were cancer the blood would appear very dark brown or even black.

Definitely sounds like a case of hemorrhoids. Especially is you mentioned the itching. You could search for some over the counter creams and ointments to treat it - such as Hemotreat , that worked for me.

It probably is a hemorrhoid. You can buy over the counter remedies which stop the itching and which shrink them... Preparation H is one.

No. It sounds like childish hypochondria.

Yes. Those are internal hemorrhoids. My husband just had surgery on his. Try not to be constipated as the recovery is very painful. If you must, take one capful of miralax a day....it is safe to take every day.

Typical symptoms of hemorrhoids. Talk to a pharmacist for treatment.
