Power pitchers or finesse pitchers?

A combination of both

I'd like both but, if I could only pick one I rather have power pitchers.

Finesse and diverse pitchers for starters with optional pitches on power.

Closing pitchers power nearly all the time

Finesse pitching over power pitching. Part of the finesse factor is smarts, and that will take you a long way on the mound. Not saying power pitchers aren't smart, but a finesse pitcher almost has to be.

Finesse pitchers

With players swinging for the fences these days, finesse pitchers rack up as many Ks as power pitchers, plus they walk fewer batters and are less prone to injury.

Throwing 100 MPH gets everyone's attention but I'd rather have a reliable pitchers who wins games.

Finesse pitchers tend to have longer careers and less injuries.

Gotta have both. Power pitching is great, but if you can't throw strikes, or fool the batter, I'd rather have someone who throws 10 MPH slower but hits his spots consistently.

If only had to choose one -- finesse.
