I've linked an excellent resource for future curiosity about guns in movies. In Sudden Impact, he was carrying an AMP Auto Mag Model 180, in .44 AMP.
After a quick look at Gun Broker to see what these things go for, you're probably not going to consider buying one. Unless you've got about 4 grand sitting around to waste on a gun. Good luck finding much ammo for it.

Yeah Clint likes the big guns and that is a .44 Automag.
He uses that same gun in several Dirty Harry movies.
Very expensive $3000-$5000 if you can find one.
You can get a Dessert Eagle .50 cal much cheaper.
