That's the great thing about living in the US. If you are a great athlete, you aren't stuck having to play soccer or participate in one of the activities that are only really noticed every four years at Olympic competitions. Plenty of Americans do participate in those, but the cream of the crop do not. They play American football, basketball and baseball, and more and more, elite level ice hockey.

  • If only the Yanks had figured out how to beat the mighty footballing power that is Trinidad & Tobago.

Soccer is for women. That's why women's soccer is an Olympic event. When women and children play soccer, they play it with the same effort and enthusiasm as men. American football is different, when women and children play it they look pathetic compared to the men. No other nation has players that can compete with American football. Just like basketball.
