Conservatives have a greater need to establish boundaries than liberals. Children and adults have a greater need to define boundaries in their life. Teenagers and young adults are prone to rebel against the boundaries placed on them to seek new ones. That is partly why most young people tend to lean left and most older people lean right. No, I ended up voting Conservative because of my dad he voted Conservative, here in Canada. Before that I voted Libertarian. The system has potential so long as its inhabitants do.
