Isn't this a preposterous theory? From an amoeba to a monkey to me?

Let's start at the beginning! A preposterous theory: is an amoeba by accident. Let's forget about new species formation for now. Mankind with all our science, can't even create a simple protein let alone RNA, DNA or any complicated structure in the most basic living cell. As far as science knows: all life comes from other life. All cells come from other cells. Tell me how a cell happened by accident. The more science we know: (biology, chemistry, environmental, biochemical, mathematical, statistical, physics) the more plausible "intelligent design theory" seems to be. Science isn't negating God's existence. Science is proving it.

    No.

Preposterous would be the idea that you were sculpted out of dirt or out of a rib.

A lot of Intelligent Design of fixing things went into it .

Quite insulting to the monkey. Like he could devolve to something as low as you.

Mutations go backwards not foreword, also the complexity of the human body did not just happen by chance. Same with the universe.

Actually, when one looks at the physical evidence, any alternative to evolution turns out to be preposterous. We've got two independent proofs, each one based on the evidence available.

But an amoeba is likely not an ancestor to the monkey, or to you. Modern amoebas have been evolving just as long as we have. There's a common ancestor back there somewhere, but it's a very long way back.

The same goes for modern monkey species, although our most recent common ancestor with monkeys is, of course, much more recent than our common ancestor with the amoeba. We probably would classify that more recent common ancestor as a prehistoric monkey, of course.

What's preposterous is the notion that there would be overwhelming evidence of evolution if it hadn't taken place. So I invite you to study the evidence.

You missed a few million steps, but that's ok. Preposterous is believing in god.

Yep, the worst form of scientific misrepresentation brought to you by the ignorance and denials of religious extremists.
