Did Army infantry and Marine infantry corporals during World War 2 carry pistols?

I know officers and sergeants did. I just want to know if corporals did to.

A few did, but most carried M-1 rifles or M-1 carbines depending on their jobs.

Almost never, same with Sergeants. That was really a Captain and above item for officers, not enlisted.
