Do I need to pay full cash visiting a clinic/doctor?

I’m struggling to go to the doctor right now but I don’t have any health insurance, I know this sounds like a dumb question to ask but do I need to pay full cash straight up for example it cost anywhere from $200-1,000 For a full visit and test or can I pay half of it? And rest later

That would be up to the clinic if they would accept a payment plan.

Call around and get the costs in advance.

As a farling yes. Here. Office call is $7 U.S. Tooth extraction $20 each. Cash once done. That is because as a resident I do not have Government citizenship rights here. So can not get a medical card here. So do you have a medical card?

It's up to the doctors office, but most don't let you make payments.

$1000? No way. And as for the bill we are not psychic. Ask the doctors office.

Some places may prefer cash vs insurance, since with insurance, they bill the insurance company, then (if) the patient has a deductible not met, then insurance pays nothing, then the provider then has to bill the patient.

Or, if you pay cash, may get a discount vs using insurance. Or, if you can’t afford the entire bill, then most will allow you to pay it off in 3 months, so if $1,000, then pay $334 each month. Do you have a credit card? If so, use a credit card vs cash.

It's not up to us. It's up to the provider you see.

That would be up to the doctor.

You can discuss this with the office manager

I went to see a doctor recently without health insurance. They had to mail the bill since they had no idea how much the charge would be - I’d suggest calling and see if you can ask someone before you go in. There might be a down payment they’ll make you pay or something.
