Was I flashed for speeding?
I was driving home on a motorway which was running variable speed limit cameras, as I approached the lines there was a car in front who was at the middle of them, the camera double flashed as I was probably 8-10 inches into the lines, was that flashed at me or him? I checked and was doing 65 when I started but quickly braked to 60 as I went over the lines as the limit said 60

MAYBE
Why do you need to wait until the lane marking to drive at a speed under the allowed maximum.
Pushing the limits all the time can easily result in you going a little over. Some cameras are set to allow a little over some are not.
The ticket if you get one can be expensive. Get a few and most learn how to remove lead from foot.
MOST do not see the flash as it is BEHIND them for their picture and ticket.

The only way you'll know is if you get a ticket in the mail within the next week or so.

You will find out within a fortnight. Until then there is nothing you can do.
Were they variable speed cameras or AVERAGE speed cameras. If average speed cameras it's the speed you were doing between two sets of cameras, not what you were doing as you crossed the line.
