    this is just dimensional analysis, not much to do with chemistry

    If the heat of combustion for a specific compound is -1340.0 kJ/mol and its molar mass is 67.97 g/mol, how many grams of this compound must you burn to release 942.60 kJ of heat?

    942.60 kJ x (67.97 g/mol) / (1340.0 kJ/mol) = 47.81 g

    this is a conversion

    X g (-1340.0 kJ/mol) / 67.97 g/mol = -942.6 kJ

    X g = 47.8 g
