Why did a girl lead me on like this? I do?
I asked a female coworker out and at first, she said that she had a 'boyfriend'. So I assumed she was not interested and left her alone. Not even 10 minutes later she comes back, apologizes, gives me a bizarre excuse, tells me that she wants to get to know me, and gives me her number. The very next morning I saw her at work and I invited her to dinner. She agreed. I got off of work earlier than her, waited until she got off of work, and then called her. Nothing. Called her half an hour later. Nothing. Called her an hour later. Nothing.
Why didn't she just reject me and leave it at that? Getting rejected is not a big deal. Being lead on and then ignored is frustrating.

Yes, that was very rude. I would guess that when you first asked her out, she was surprised, and gave the excuse she uses to get rid of guys she doesn't want to go out with. Then she thought about it, and decided that she did want to get to know you. I can't explain why she then didn't answer her phone and stood you up. That was wrong and there's no excuse for it.

That is ridiculous behavior. I myself have been rejected multiple times and it's fine. Though you do get some crazies. A guy once passed my number on to his douchebag friend who was thought I was down to bang because I asked his friend out. I wasn't that type and it hurt alot.
