I receive payments from companies by direct deposit and I've recently moved.?
If the postal address on file with my bank (PNC in Michigan)) differs from the postal address on file with a company at the time of a direct deposit payment from that company, can this cause problems receiving the payment?

Direct Deposit only cares about your bank (routing number) and account number.
Your home address is not important for direct deposit. The money will go into that account as normal.
You SHOULD, however, make sure your company, your bank, and all other pertinent parties know your new address.

The direct deposit will still go to your bank until you change the bank. I suggest you try to keep the same bank & same account, just updating the mailing information. Does PNC have locations near your new location?
If not, open a new account somewhere, turn the change into your direct deposit check writer, then after the money is being deposited to the new account, close the old one.

No, but you should correct that address with the bank, in case they do send out any mailings or tax papers.

Only your account number and routing number matter.
