Jonathan purchased a 44 year old car. He claims to have been 16 when the car was his age. How old is Jonathan?

    Old enough to know that unless he's a millionaire, a 44-year-old car isn't a good investment.

    Jonathan claims that he was "16 when the care was his age." To me, this says that at some point both the car and Jonathan were the same age. So they're the same age now. Jonathan is 44 years old.

    There's actually a range 43-45 years for Jonathan's age if it's not the same day of the year now as 18 or so years ago when both were 16.
