Jehovah's Witnesses. How do they count the generations in Matthew 1?

17 So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations.

Wait a minute. Some of these generations overlap. Isn't there like only 4 or 5 overlapping generations there?

Either inspired writer Matthew got it wrong, or God's Organization the Faithful and Discreet Slave got it wrong.

Catholicism is the One True Faith and a person can know this with certainty by reciting daily and with care the angelic psalter of the Virgin Mary.

A generation consist of the time that the mother and the father are still alive. Because this varies a generation has no specific date you can't use the word generation to even guess and a creative day or the end of the world or the Great Tribulation or any of that nonsense that they keep trying to do with the word.

JWs are idiots and their opinions change with the latest Watchtower magazine. I'd move on.

Why just ask Jehovah's Witnesses? Open it to all Christians, that should be entertaining.
