Can heterosexuals be victims of "corrective rape"?

Corrective rape is a phenomenon based largely around either a heterosexual man raping a lesbian in an attempt to turn her straight, or, less commonly, a heterosexual woman raping a gay man in an attempt to turn him gay.

Obviously, this is all very wrong and terrible, and it doesn't even mention asexuals getting raped to be turned sexual, but I was wondering how it would happen the other way around?

A gay man rapes a straight man to turn him gay.

A lesbian rapes a straight woman to turn her gay.

Would this still be corrective rape? Or would it be considered something else?

I'm a straight man, so I haven't done any of this to other straight men. And I have never raped a lesbian, because I'm not homophobic and I'm engaged to the most perfect (straight) woman in the world. And no gay man has done this to me, I'm just curious if it would be branded "corrective rape", just rape, or something else, because I'm genuinely curious. I'm not a law expert or anything, so I'm not quite sure. If someone could tell me, this would be a quench of my thirst for knowledge.

There is no such thing as "corrective rape". Rape of any sort is all of a peice...that's to say: all the same thing. We simply see people using the term "corrective" in an attempt to disguise what they've done as something other than what rape is: an assault that is carried out as an exercise of power. It doesn't even have anything to do with sex or lust. It's ALWAYS and ONLY about overpowering the victim and violating them in a way so personal that the attacker can take pleasure from knowing the victim would resist with all their might. Rape is a demonstration of the attacker's power to conquer the victim despite his/her strongest resistance. In EVERY case. There is NOTHING "corrective" about it. That is a poor attempt at camouflage, and only a fool would be misled by it.

NO ONE rapes someone with the intent of doing them good. Only a wicked person or an idiot would propagate this debased notion.

You do not appear, at first glance, to be an idiot.

Never heard of that concept. Seriously. But I suppose that some sick persons might think they can change a person's sexuality by raping them.

'corrective' rape corrects no one or nothing; so as a valid description of an incident it doesn't work. Do you honestly think sexual assault with the usual violence that goes with it will really change anyone's mind about their sexual orientation? Rape is an aggressive action, no matter how the rapist tries to justify it.

"Corrective rape" is a misleading classification of rape. It is considered a hate crime and actually does more harm than good. It is a brutal practice akin to "conversion therapy."

Rape is about power, not about sexual attraction or sexual orientation. It is NEVER justified.

it happens in prison all the time, though they don't call it that. it's more like "opportunism" and pecking orderism.

Within prisons some dominant males will rape a weaker male to "turn him out". Oftentimes the victim will become permanently gay.

Outside of the prison system, I do know of a person who was out drinking with a friend. Afterwards the person went to sleep it off at his friend's apartment. They shared a bed and the guy reported that his friend became very handsy. He tried pushing his friend's hands away, but he became aroused, and eventually it turned into real gay sex. He never would have believed he was gay, but he found it enjoyable. Nowadays he considers himself gay.

In such cases, usually they're hoping their victim is gay. Or they don't care, like most cases of rape. Gay people know that "confersion" is a myth, as is the straight lie that gays try to "recruit" or "convert" straight people. Only straight people are so arrogant and delusional as to believe that sex with them will "convert" someone.

I have no doctorate in this matter either. But look at the news. A school doctor in Ohio raped many college wrestlers. They didn’t turn gay - although they were left with horrible memories.

Look at it another way. Many porn stars in gay porn and many prostitutes to gay men are straight. They just want the cash, the fact that they have gay sex to get this cash does not mean they become gay. They seek out females in their off time - in fact they spend the proceeds for what they made on their real love interests.

On the other side - many gay men marry straight women to conform to social norms. Even though they might have several children by her and love her as a person - he does not desire her sexually. He’ll often pretend she’s a guy. He’ll be having affairs on the side - maybe hiring one of those prostitutes I brough up earlier or slipping into a bathhouse when he can.

Your sexuality is your internal wiring. It can’t be changed by corrective rape or consensual sex your not in to.
