    In decent countries, the law applies to everyone, regardless of their religion or marital status.

    Of course. There should never be force of unwanted advances. It says in the New Testament not to deny one another, as in - abstain - unless for a time and both are in agreement of it. If one abstains forever without it being agreed, perhaps separation even divorce/annulment is called for.

    The Churches do not define Law.

    Break the Law, and it is the government that puts you in jail . .not the church.

    The LAW says that it is rape, even if it is marriage.
