Besides Jude 14 “ppl will make fun of God” - Why the Hatred do you suppose?

Why do you think there is such virulent hatred of Christianity, which after all, is not sawing off heads, but are against terminating the pre-born and would rather not change the definition of holy matrimony (smile)..

I mean the a-theist theory of life permeates the education.. But they want faith gone? Is this deep hatred rational?

Because Christianity right now has a reputation for hypocrisy, totalitarian intentions and being overwhelmingly racist, bigoted, ignorant, stupid and nasty toward everyone not a straight white male.

You seem to think a lot of very prominent sorts, who label themselves Christians, and those not so prominent, have done nothing to warrant criticism of any kind. The only reason you care about the preborn is that you wish to punish and control women. You don't give a **** about the after they've been born part. At all. Ever. Marriage today is not what it was back in Biblical times. Not even close. Christians did not invent marriage. Jews did not invent marriage. Christians do not get to say what marriage is or is not, not until your priests and holy mumblers run the government as well. That's called a theocracy. Make sure you're the correct brand of Christian when or if that happens.

Stop trying to turn yourself into a victim while going after other's rights to oversee their own bodies. Or going after consenting adults to marry the person of their choice. You can't have it both ways. You can't be a victim while being an oppressor.

Christian women get plenty of abortions, they lie about it for obvious reasons. Also, if you're a man against abortion-- get your nuts rendered sterile. Snip snip snip, boys.Do your part. Make sure your parts don't make babies in any way, shape or form. Also, first breath. That's what the Bible says about that. Not conception, not pregnancy, first breath.

What marriages are has changed quite a bit since the earliest days of humankind. Christianity did not invent marriage.

People go after hypocritical Christians and should go after them. Because they say one thing and then commit the very stuff they just spoke out against. [Affairs, abortions, caught in same-sex love nests, sex trafficking, fraud, theft, etc] Over and over and over. It's, like, a pattern or something! Weird!

If you're going to hold yourself up as saints, angels and those who can do no wrong, honey, you should head for the hills now. Go. Bye.

I look upon it merely as prophecy fulfilled. See John 17:14; 1 John 3:13; 1 Peter 4:3, 4; and 2 Peter 3:3-5. Compare those scriptures for the inspired explanation for the hatred and ridicule. The world is fond of what is its own. A true Christian is no part of the world, does not belong to the world. Naturally, the world will hate and deride Christians.

EDIT: Hi Flowerchilde. True Christians are imperfect so it is not surprising that some display fruitage other than that produced by Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22,23). Remember the sharp argument that Paul and Barnabas had? Acts 15:39. Christians get tired, depressed, angry, frustrated, and fearful. Makes them sometimes act without gentleness or patience. :)

What the world thinks of God: CRUCIFY! CRUCIFY!

    We're just getting His mail.

(Jesus promised us this retaliation - why would it surprise you? It's an honor and evidence that we belong to Him.)

My guess is -- the dishonesty.

Just like in your question here: You are suggesting that non-christers

want to change the definition of holy matrimony.

That is totally, 100% false. Most don't give a goddam what the church ceremonies do.

They care that all citizens are treated equally under the law and offered the same privileges,

in matters where, and how, the GOVERNMENT treats marriages between two consenting adults.

So, where you see hatred, it is most likely due to the dishonesty behind so many of the cult movements

that are made against people in order to strip their rights, liberties and equality.

This country is governed by a Constitution, not a Cult Book -

and the believers tend to conveniently forget that, quite frequently.
