Potassium channel question?

A human embryo is double recessive for a rare mutation that causes voltage-gated potassium channels to open immediately after a membrane reaches threshold, with no delay. What would be the likely impact on action potentials, on muscle and nerve activity, and viability of this embryo?

Silly me, I thought that that was the way that the channels worked.

Reading about "action potential" on Wikipedia, I'm still getting the impression that that's the way they work.

    Am I missing something?

Unfortunately we're in a "Yahoo Answers Glitch Period" which means that your question is going to disappear, probably before anyone else will answer it.
