Your body has to relearn how to produce a normal hormone pattern and ovulate again. Could take a few weeks. Could take a year. Your first period could be heavy. Your first period could be a few days of spotting. We have no way of knowing.

Absolutely no way to know what will happen with YOU. Our experiences cannot predict yours.

Most women will return to normal patterns within a few weeks of the last pill, and so (unless pregnant) will get a period within 4-6 weeks or so. But it can take longer -- up to 6 months isn't that uncommon.

Even if you are TTC, it's often recommended to use condoms until you get your first real period, just to avoid the uncertainty. Alternatively (again, assuming here you are TTC since you haven't switched to another method) you could test every 2-3 weeks until you get a period.

Everyone reacts differently to stopping the pill.

Take a pregnancy test once a week until you either get a period or get a positive test. Basically, you really don't know when you will ovulate, so you don't know when it is the right time to test. A period should happen about 14 days after you ovulate.

It might also take a little time for your periods to follow a pattern again - or not - again, every one reacts differently.

Long time ago when I came off the pill I had a bleed and a month later I had a normal period when it was due and continued to be regular every month but it took me almost 3 years of ttc. At the same time by sister stopped the pill and had a bleed and was pregnant the following month so it shows we are all different. Good Luck

We don't know. Women don't all have the same experience coming off bc. If the test was negative then believe it for now and wait until your cycle resumes. If it doesn't in what should be your next period then test again or see a doctor.

It took me 6 months to bleed once I came off the pill. Wait patiently.
