If black people lack sunlight, do they become paler?
Maybe a stupid question, but if white people are deprived of sunlight they become paper. Is the same true for black people, or does their skin maintain its color. I tried looking it up, but I couldn’t find anything.

Some "black" people do get tans, it largely isn't discussed, because first you end up in a five minute discussion of what black means.

not much sking wise, but as an ethnic whole they will as it's happened at least twice. the first time was with neanderthals getting paler compared to early sapien or erecuts humans. the other time was when whites appeared around 10kya.

Yes they become paler. Not white, just washed out. Dark complected people need more vit D from the sun or they can get sick.

People tend to gain melanin as they get more UV. Yes, blacks will tend to get darker as they get more UV, the same as everyone else. If they reduce their UV, yes they will tend to get lighter. My wife who is East Asian is lighter than my Irish skin except if she gets any sun (only sometimes on legs) she quickly gets much darker than I ever could. It is the same for everyone. A dark black man would probably never get as light as me but they would become much lighter than their normal selves.
