2004 Honda shadow spirit 750 engine swap?

A few years ago I bought a 2004 Honda shadow spirit 750. I was stupid and didn’t take good care of it and ended up blowing out the engine. I was wondering how hard it would be to buy a new engine and swap it out. I don’t really have any mechanical experience, so I was wondering if this is even something I would be able to do myself, or if I would definitely need help

A Service manual has a complete section "Engine removal & installation".

Purchase a manual , or look for one online and you decide whether you want to do the work.

New engines are not available for that model.

Used parts and engines are available from "motorcycle salvage yards"

    Look online and call around.

it would be quite difficult to buy a new engine for it. If you're lucky you can find a deal on a good used one on ebay. That will run you 600 and change. A shop manual and all the tools another 50 to 100 bucks. Give yourself a couple of weeks to do the job.

    HELP NEEDED.

The work needed isn't that hard with the proper tools, the knowledge part is different and that differance is knowing the proper tools.

If you wish to do all the labor expect to dish out some money, tools and a SHOP MANUAL.
