I’m looking for a kind of customizable topography map. So say I wanted to highlight all areas in Oregon with an elevation between 1200 and 2800 ft, or any other specific range. Is there an app that allows you to do this?

I’m looking for a car that would be good for work commuting and for camping/exploring. Im looking for something that can handle semi rough terrain and also gets decent gas mileage, and is reliable and reasonable priced. I’m not too worried about looks or luxury features, mainly just utility. Any recommendations on what models and years would be appreciated!

I’m taking a month long vacation in April, but I can’t decide between these two countries, I already bought tickets to Sri Lanka months ago but have been thinking about switching to Nicaragua because my tickets are refundable. I originally chose Sri Lanka because it’s very safe for solo travelers, but I’ve heard nicaragua is pretty safe too. Sri Lanka was also more intriguing to me just for the simple fact that it’s in the other side of the world and so it seems more exotic. But Nicaragua looks beautiful and I’ve never been anywhere in Latin America. Any input from people who have been to one or both countries would be greatly appreciated

I’m 30 year old man going to Sri Lanka in April for the whole month by myself. As of right now I don’t have much planned I just know I want to go to Kandy and Galle for sure and also check out the east coast. Im open to any recommendations or advice. Also want to know if it would be worth it to head north or if I would even have enough time for all of that 

My grandma is 91 and over the last couple years her mental health has declined pretty significantly. For the last 6 months or so we have made sure that someone is visiting g her every day. But it is getting to the point where we think she either needs full time in home care, or needs to be in a nursing home. We can’t imagine having to put her in a nursing home. My grandpa built her house himself 60 years ago and it is probably the thing she cherishes the most in the world and is most proud of. My mom has tried to get her assisted living for 3 days a week but she refuses to accept the help and gets angry ran them off. Just wondering if anyone has experience with this transitional phase from independent to assisted living with someone who is very resistant

I’ve been thinking about going to another country soon, somewhere like Sri Lanka or Indonesia. None of my friends are able to go with me so I’ve been considering just going by myself. I was wondering who else has done this and if you think there is any benefit in traveling alone as apposed to in a group. I not the most outgoing person, but I think that it would be kind of interesting to be on the other side of the world by myself, and might inspire me to kind of break out of my shell a little bit. I’m interested to hear from anyone with solo travel experience.

I have a 2004 VTX1300c. The tank is really wide, and I was wondering how to find a more narrow tank that would fit the mounts. Is there anywhere that sells something like that, or would I have to get one custom made? Or make custom mounts?

So I was driving through the main lane of a parking lot today and this truck pulls out of a side lane without stopping at all and cuts me off, forcing me so brake quickly to avoid hitting him. I wasn’t going fast at all, he just thought that he could cut me off because he knew I would brake. If I were to just keep driving and hit him, even though I had time to brake, would it be my fault or his fault. Because he is supposed to stop until it is clear to turn. I know it’s not that big of a deal, and I don’t plan of testing it out, it’s just that people who do this type of thing really piss me off. I’m just wondering how a judge would rule this in a court. Does anyone have any experience with this?

I was recently in s motorcycle accident when a deer jumped out in front of my bike. My tank now crushed on one side. I’m wondering if any other tanks will fit my bike, or if it has to be a tank from the same model and year. I know my old Honda shadow tank went in the same way, but I don’t know If all the mounts are in the exact same place. My current bike is the 2004 VTX1300C, I’m having a hard time finding the exact same tank I had, are there any other tanks that will fit right on it?

I found a vacant property with a old rundown house on 9.25 acres in an area that I really like. I got ahold of the owner and talked to him. He is planning on selling it, and said he would be willing to give a good deal. He’s very old and doesn’t sound like he’s trying to make a huge profit, he just wants to sell to the right person. But it would still be pretty expensive, it’s listed at about $350,000 on Zillow. I don’t have any experience with big purchases like this and honestly I don’t know if it’s even realistic for me but I feel like I have to try. I have a good stable job in the union, but I’m still an apprentice so I don’t make great money at the moment, but I’m a few years I’ll be making pretty good money. So basically I want to find out if this is something that is even realistic for me right now. Who would I talk to first to find out what I can actually afford and if would be worth it?

I have an old 2004 Honda Shadow Spirit with a blown motor. I want to try to take it apart and remove the engine. If I buy tool kit for the Honda Shadow will that come with all the tools I need, or are those tool kits more just for basic stuff. Just wondering if I need to buy a full socket set. And also if the bolts are metric sizes or standard?

The reservoir under the bike is completely empty so I thought there was no coolant. But then someone told me that you are supposed to check that when the bike it as normal riding temperatures, and when it’s cold there could still be coolant in the bike but not the reservoir. So I too off the tank and checked under the radiator cap and there is coolant right under the cap. Does this mean that it’s full? Or is there another way to check?

I recently bought a 2004 Honda VTX 1300. It only had 5000 miles on it, and i've put about another 500 on it in the last few months. I never checked the coolant level until today, and I noticed that the coolant reservoir looks completely empty. I haven't had any problems with the bike, it starts right up and runs great. And the temperature light has never turned on. The only thing i've noticed was today after i let the bike idle for about 15 minutes, i turned the engine off and heard a weird sort of whining sound, which stopped when i turned the power off. Anyways, i'm going to buy some coolant tomorrow, but i was wondering if i should be concerned at all that there reservoir was completely empty?

I have a 2004 Honda shadow spirit 750 with a blown motor. I don’t know exactly what’s wrong with it, i just know that there is zero compression in one cylinder and almost zero in the other. It has been sitting in a barn for 3 years and is pretty dirty. I’m going to sell it for parts and was wondering what a reasonable price would be. I was thinking $500, but I don’t really know anything about motors or mechanics so any input would be appreciated.

A few years ago I bought a 2004 Honda shadow spirit 750. I was stupid and didn’t take good care of it and ended up blowing out the engine. I was wondering how hard it would be to buy a new engine and swap it out. I don’t really have any mechanical experience, so I was wondering if this is even something I would be able to do myself, or if I would definitely need help

I have a 2007 Toyota Prius with 187,000 miles on it. Recently I noticed a dramatic decrease in the MPGs. I would usually get about 41 MPGs, but in the last few days I'm barely getting over 25 while it's on cruise control on the freeway. It has been kind of cold and rainy, but I wouldn't expect that to have that big of an effect on the fuel economy. I'm really hoping that this is not due to the battery expiring early. Is there anything else that could cause this big of a decrease in MPGs?

I'm looking for a word that's means something along the lines of "including many different factors that are all interwoven and inseparable". Kind of similar to the definition of the word "holistic", but there is a different word I'm looking for. I'm using it in the context of social issues and how people tend to oversimplify the solution to very complex problems. For some reason I wanted to use the word "dynamic" but I don't think that is the right word. Please help my fill in the blank!!
