Is it possible that what is called racial profiling today is not as much about skin color but about culture?

I have black friends that don t get a second glance from authorities because they are clean cut, well spoken, well mannered men. The ones flaunting a distinctive culture that suggests a "thug life" are the ones that seem to get all the scrutiny. Less 2-Pac and more Denzel?

Yes, possible. Cops are slowly being re-trained to look at clothing and posture and suspicious moves rather than skin color first.

its more about skin color than culture, culture is just another thing people can bash

For the most part, I try not to use the word "race" since there is only one race - the human race. Instead I refer to different cultures.
