    Why don't YOU run for YOUR state legislature BEFORE you harass and provoke OTHER people about THEIR civic participation?

    I have NO desire to do that. I have thought about city council, but I did not live here until graduate school.

    Because there are better ways to really make a change than to run for office. Real change happens locally. Even within government, the elected individual has less power than people think. They are influenced and manipulated by party politics and other non-elected individuals.
