Why do Teenagers/Adolescence Rebel. Evolution/Atheist reason? What do you think.?

Someone told me they believe that it’s an evolutionary trait that prevents endogamy (inbreeding) so the lone wolf has to walk away and search for mates in other groups.

Does anyone know or heard about this?

It has nothing to do with religion it's a human trait having to do with the stages of our growth a maturing process which is an evolutionary process. So it's evolution.

Teenagers rebel because of sin. It has nothing to do with evolution.

Because society has recently changed the definition of an adult. It wasn't that many years ago that one was considered a man or woman at the age of 13, relatively speaking. And so it is that humans still develop the urge to strike out on their own at that age, even though they are woefully unequipped to navigate modern society. It is a question of our evolution struggling to catch up with the evolution of our society.

Deep psychological ones sometimes so bad, they called it Oedipal Complex or Electra Complex (depending if you were a guy or a gal)
