Because many of them are gypsy and know what it's like to be discriminated against.

I don’t know any, that I know of.
The only things I know about them, I learned from TV. So, if Im wrong, let me know...
My understanding is, Romanians are the people that are often called gypsies.
I seems like they’re more racist, than anybody.
They consider anyone, that isn’t Romanian or a gypsy, an outsider.
And they aren’t supposed to trust or be involved with ‘outsiders’.
But like I said, all my information, is coming from TV.

eh, not based on my experience.
eastern europeans from my perspective, are generally more ethnocentric and xenophobic due to many wars and ethnic conflicts
Source(s): eastern europe is also less developed than the west, so they have less openness towards multiculturalism and diversity
