Microsoft - Problems with Updates?

Does anyone know when Microsoft are going to solve the problems caused by their update modules? When they are installed (whether they are wanted or not) my computer often fails to start, and I have to use System Restore.

it sounds like you have damage. you should do the following as a minimum. 1) perform a full disk check which must PASS(complete properly without exiting, and fix all issues). 2) restart and then at the command prompt do an SFC/SCANNOW to repair any system files. 3) restart, use a registry cleaner to check and clean your registry. *** note for windows 10 users microsoft still havnt got their major updates working cleanly yet. They end up applying DEFAULT drivers for devices. This is very annoying and may require you to re-apply the mainboard chipset drivers(eg Intel.INF if you have an intel cpu/chipset) and then your devices will be detcted properly. Any STARTUP software such as AUDIO control applications may fail because they cant detct the audio devices whilst default drivers are in force. Thus may cause an issue starting a pc until the correct chipset drivers are re-applied. We can all thank microsoft for that one.

My first computer was DOS 2.0 and I've used every Windows except ME and 8.1. And I've never used system restore in my life. So there's that..

I know what you mean, I have a windows 7 desktop and every monthly update I checkout what the patch will do, it seems every month they release a new patch to fix thing in the months before update patch, I always hold off for a couple of days to see if anyone else is having problems with the update patch, the last couple of months some of the patches have disappeared after a couple of days because they have been pulled by Microsoft as they have been crashing peoples computers

Have you considered using a decent OS different to Microsoft? Have you considered using Linux, where that doesn't happen?
