I hand wash my breakfast bowls and they seem to have a soapy residue left on them from my dish soap?
How do I get this residue off? I'm using sunlight dish soap and so far after every attempt my breakfast has had a soapy lemony taste. Is there a dish soap that won't cause this residue?

get a spray bottle and fill it with half white vinegar and half water. rinse the dishes under the faucet and set them in the empty side of the sink. then when you get a pile, spray them all with the vinegar solution, then rinse again under running water and put them on the drainboard.

Rinse very well. Two times. Scrub with a soap-free scotch brite.

Just at a guess I don't reckon you're rinsing enough. If you have a water softener, you might need to turn it to a slightly less aggressive treatment.
Also strongly consider diluting the detergent. I use Dawn at my house, and have NEVER used it at full strength since the first time back about 1979, when it turned out the stuff was a chore to rinse off. Now I buy the concentrated Dawn and mix it about 1 part Dawn to 3 parts water, and that gets the dishes clean very easily but rinses quickly with just a little water.
Good luck with it.

Try Dawn, its the best one for hand washing. Fill the sink with hot water and a drop or two of dawn. Use a clean sponge and wash out the bowl. Then rinse with warm water till the bowl squeaks when you run your finger over the surface.
