Jason X what were they thinking?

Jason sequels're just retellings of the Camp Crystal Lake massacre performed by Pamela Vorhees. The sequel with the unstoppable masked killer in New York was told by people living in New York, etc.

Jason X was told by future people living in space/astronauts/sci-fi fan kids embellishing the legend. That or the mentally impaired mind of Jason imaginings or his Mothers vengeful & mentally deranged fantasies.

I agree. It was strange, but they wanted the franchise to go on.

It all started out as Pamela Voorhees being the original killer in the very first movie, then bringing her son Jason into the rest of them.

In order to keep things interesting you need to change it up. However, they changed it up a little too much. I didn’t really like the idea of a slasher film turning into a science fiction one... with the twist of a slasher.

Sometimes I like to think certain movies didn’t happen. Jason still rocks as a character.

They wanted to send Jason into outer space before he had to take on Freddy. Hard to believe that this all started out with a movie about a mother getting revenge for the death of her son.
