That "esoteric stuff" is actually common knowledge among those who've received an adequate modern education. If you wish to wallow in ancient philosophical nonsense, that's certainly your prerogative -- just don't expect the rest of us to abandon our hard-earned educations and join you.

It is important to avoid falling into the quagmire of epistemological intractability from which it would be difficult to extract one's polemics once an obdurate teleological position is established. This would not only vastly diminish, if not inevitably collapse, the cogency of one's proffered thesis, but would greatly reduce the ability to identify the socio-political ramifications of recombinant bioengineering on our post-industrial society.
