Was this a racist comment?

The other day my coworker who is new from Oklahoma made a comment. She was talking about how she has lived in Melbourne Australia, Oklahoma, Boston, and Vermont where we are currently. I’m asian background myself. But the other day she said “Boy I have seen Asians everywhere- in all the different towns I’ve lived in and even here in Vermont. It makes me wonder if you all are related or Know each other?” She said that to me. She smirked after .

Yeah, definitely racist. The same white people in the comments who are saying its not racist are the same ones who get offended if you make a school shooting comment or something sideways about the "military."

She stated a simple observation that there are a noticeable number of Asian People in the area, & though I wouldn't consider it 'Racist' that she isn't Blind to it , Answering as somebody from Oklahoma I have to admit that the off-hand speculation on whether any of them should Know or actually be Related is embarrassingly about as Dumb of a Blather of Hick-Spittle as anything I've ever herd from an Okie!

No she'snot a racist,,she's just not very Bright!

No. Her comment wasn’t racist at all. It was just simplistic and ridiculous. A racist comment would have expressed extreme

contempt and disregard. It seem like your coworker was trying to be humorous in her observations. It was done acceptably.
