i only registered to vote recently does putting 9 years on lived at address affect getting a loan?

about 4 years ago i got on the electoral and got a 5k loan. after that paid every month without issue took no other credit everything was the same as the last 10 years. recently i applied to top up the loan and put time at address as 8 years because i have lived there 8 years and the loan got refused could it be because of that. i have no other debt and as i said everything is the same for the last 10 years

    They will send you a letter telling you the reasons for the decline.

    Nothing to do with the address but your personal circumstances and your credit rating.

    Ask the Lender but they might not tell you.

    If you're in the US, they have to tell you why they declined the loan. There are other ways to confirm your address history (commonly done through a Social Security number trace). I doubt the address is the reason.

    Ask them why you were turned down. I highly doubt it has anything to do with having stayed in the same house.
