Why don't all American school make learning Spanish a requirement for all students?

No good reason do that. No one need Mexicans. They need learn English if they come to USA.

There's no sane reason for it. English is the official language, and everybody who is here or comes here needs to know it. You accept our ways when you come here, instead of forcing your ways upon us. We don't need Mexicans for anything. You're so deluded. My ancestors were mainly from Germany, but hey learned English, and now, I only know some phrases in German.

My personal opinion is that everybody should get one year of Esperanto, followed by at least three years of at least one foreign language of the student's choice - and I mean a wide choice. It's not just the ones that have over a hundred million users each that have value

Why not learn the language the US motto is written in and where the English alphabet comes from. It would be a good step in correcting history too.

Sure people should speak it if they want to, but it shouldn't be compulsory (it would make more sense if it was an official language).

Besides, they have a hard enough time with English.
