What happened to Alex Jones?

About a dozen different media platforms Jones was on simultaneously decided to de-platform him (fancy talk for banning him). He has said wacky things in the past, but nothing he'd said recently around that time justified the banning. Although, all of about a week later he made a remark that could be stretched into sounding like he advocated violence against the media.
The fact that social media platforms are now coordinating to deny people free speech based on their political views should terrify any and every advocate of free speech. I don't listen to Jones and never have, nor ever will. But if this doesn't concern you, then you simply don't value free speech.

He got divorced. Called out by numerous people on his bullying and narcissism. He then got in shape and became slightly more charming (i.e. manipulative) and coherent (via enhanced reality testing). Meanwhile, the US and EU MSM turned against "fake" and "conspiracy" news and decided to stop publicizing him. Then various media outlets banned him cutting off his bulk funding. I wouldn't doubt he's had to slim down operations to meet financial goals.

He was banned on most social media accounts to silence him and rid him of his right to freedom of speech.
