    The richer you were, the better armour you had, so the King probably had the best armour. The infantry who did most of the fighting probably had nothing in the way of protection.

    The best armour that they could buy. it didn't help Richard III, who was brought down by a pole axe.

    On top his armor, upon his helm (helmet), around his head... the nations crown. The same 'crown of state' we now see in museums. Back then they were in use, and the king got them bloody, dented etc.

    Armour was all the rage for your upper strata of society, mmm shiny.

    It depends on the time period. In general kings wore tunics, shorter cloaks, shirts and mail armour.
