What do you think about me applying to a restaurant and doing what I said in the details section below?

They will hire you and then they will give you a schedule to work.

If you do not like the schedule you can ask them to change it, and tell them why.

If they do not change it then you may have to quit and find another job.

Because this is the restaurant industry - and the restaurant industry is the one industry where managers expect to have the entire staff turn over several times a year - they are not motivated to retain you.

As far as retaining employees goes... unless you are the Manager or the Head Chef...'retention' is not in the game plan. Why? because if you stay more than 90 days they have to give you merit raises and health insurance. If they let people go every 90 days then they do not have to pay unemployment to those employees either.

So really the best you can hope for in a restaurant is that they do not just eliminate you from the schedule without telling you. It is called 'ghosting'.

I would strongly suggest that instead of a restaurant you find a job where turnover is not expected...like a BANK. A Bank will have the kind of hours you want.

No way that's acceptable. They hired you based on your statement that you were available as needed. You have nothing to complain about as you lied & took the job on false premises.

You'll be fired and replaced real quickly. That would not be a smart thing to do. Actuqlly, since you're just a troll anyway, really doesn't matter.

You lying to them will lead to you not getting any shifts at all so you'll just have to go look for another job.

I think that the manager would either schedule you for the shifts they need you to work, and fire you for not showing up, or they would just fire you when you tell them your availability is different than you originally stated.

I also doubt that you are 83 years old. Most people with 83 years experience on this planet are smart enough to know that this sort of absurd plan is a waste of everyone's time. I suspect you are actually a kid with nothing better to do than ask stupid questions on this forum.

Someone who is difficult to replace may be able to pull that off. Are you difficult to replace?

many applications for restaurants, retail, etc, often will list what your availability is, and how many hours you want to work. so look out for that.
