I feel bad for her. A lot of haters because she isn't this or that. I know that the image she has is cultivated, but I do think that she is trying to be her real self to the degree that she feels she is allowed to. The feminists hated on her because she likes to be dominated by older men, but she annoyed because she felt that feminism should be about women being unashamedly who they are, so if that is what she wants and likes, it is less empowering for her to just act the way that feminists think she should; which I totally agree with. People hated on her for not dancing while she sings, but again, why should she have to conform to people's expectation of what a pop singer is and does. She is a product, and I think she knows the degree to which she is, but it has to be hard to walk the line of giving people what they want, and being true to herself. It seems like she struggles with how alienating that is: to have people only like you if you look and act a way not very much like yourself.

Musically, she has some misses, some hits, and you sort of have to be in a certain type of mood to listen to her for long periods, but when I am I really feel how deep and vulnerable her music can be.
