2008 Volvo S40 problem with start up?
This morning, I went to start it up and it wouldn't start up. On the dashboard it said, "Immobilizer try start again" and also flashed up with an anti-skid symbol of some type which it never has done before.
After 2-3 tries of not starting, I tried it again and it started up with no issue just like normal. I drove some place and turned it off and about 45 minutes later got back in the car and it started with no issues. The times it wouldn't start the only noise I heard was almost like a revving up of an engine. It wasn't like a clicking noise such as being a battery problem. And when it started with no issues, there was nothing abnormal noticed with sounds, etc. Just like normal.
Should I be concerned going forward? Thanks!

Replace the battery on your fob.

I suspect the "immobilizer" message is a red herring because you heard a "revving up of an engine" which sounds like you may be describing the sound of a starter spinning, but not engaging with the flywheel. The Immobilizer will not allow anything to happen...turn the key and you get no sounds at all.
In high mileage cars, this can be a sign of problems with the starter - but it is more likely just a temporary hiccup. If it becomes persistent, then I'd look at the starter first...
