  • Laptop making noise?

I have an HP Pavilion dv6-6135dx laptop with Windows 7 that is at least 7-8 years old.

From time to time, it will make noises like an airplane trying to take off. But only when in it's in use. It's happened many times over the years and usually goes away somehow when it happens but it just started doing it again yesterday. It's so annoying and I don't know how to get rid of it...any suggestions? I have barely anything on my laptop that takes up space. I feel like I've tried many things like power saving mode, etc. I don't have a vacuum to clean out anything, please keep that in mind. Please help!!

  • Can I be a policyholder for car insurance in this situation?

My wife and I only have one car. We both live at the same address. The car s title and registration is in her name. If both are names are insured, can I be the policyholder instead of her? It s just easier for me to switch things out if I need to, pay the bills, etc.

I was told the policyholder could just be one of us. Thanks!

  • What has more starch: cooked lentils or cooked black beans?

And if you knew the amount for each that would be great, thanks.

  • Keyfob getting stuck in ignition when turning off car (2008 Volvo S40)?

I just started having an issue where we would turn off the car and the key will get stuck in the ignition when trying to pull it out. I did a quick search online and someone said to turn the wheel a little bit and that seemed to work. So I got it out finally after doing that but I kept starting it back up and retrying it and almost every time it would get stuck again while turning it off. Sometimes the wheel turn would work, other times it wouldn't and I would just have to keep trying to pull it out on it's own and it would come out.

What is going on and what can I do to stop this from happening? Not having any other issues with the car besides this, no error message or anything on the display. Again, it's a 2008 Volvo S40 automatic. Thanks in advance! Please keep in mind I'm not very car savvy.

  • Question regarding the book, "Angels Flight" by Michael Connelly (Spoilers)?

Just finished reading it but I still have a question that never got seemingly answered...who was the leak to the media throughout the book? Was it Irving or Chastain? And for what reason?

They didn't seem to explain that. Thanks.

  • Does a fraud alert also protect you from bank accounts being opened in your name?

I know a fraud alert protects you one step further from credit cards being opened in your name....but does it also protect you from bank accounts like checking accounts, etc. being opened in your name as well? Because those don't show up on credit reports?

Also, what other things besides credit cards being opened in your name does it protect against? Like insurance policies, etc.?

    Thanks!

  • Difference between regular, promotional and account review inquiries on credit report from TransUnion?

Between the three breakdowns, there are some that I don't recognize. What are the difference between these three and of the three categories which do I need to take action to fix if I didn't do them?

Also, the last category is tabbed "Inquiry Analysis" and I don't recognize it either.

    Thanks.

  • Why does student loan interest deduction reduce the amount of your AGI on taxes?

For example, let's say income on my taxes was $50,000. But then there was $2,000 used for student loan interest deduction...

Why would the new AGI now be $48,000? Just doesn't make sense why it gets subtracted? Trying to understand the logic behind it, thanks!

  • Questions on filing taxes this year?

I'm married and for the tax return year 2017, my wife and I filed married but separate due to several reasons. I even compared it to married filing jointly that year and we got a better return.

In regards to filing tax return 2018, I have several questions. For the whole year, I was unemployed and received no income at all...no unemployment benefits, etc. But we do have a joint checking and savings account in both our names.

The checking acct earned $2.28 interest and the savings earned $1.06 interest for 2018 totaling $3.34. We didn't receive a tax document from the bank.

1.) Do I personally still need to file a tax return if we file married separate? If so, why? Because of the interest from our checking/savings acct? And if that's the case...how much do I report for the income on my half? Do I split the $3.34 in two so she reports the other half since it's in both our names? Or do we both report $3.34 in total on each of our returns? If I still don't need to, should I just so the IRS sees something on file? Because every other year I usually have filed something on my side.

2.) Say for example, we didn't earn interest on our checking and savings. Would I have to file a tax return for 2018 then? Again, I had no income of any form or any tax documents like W-2 reported to IRS. Just curious if the IRS still needs to see something since every other year I personally have filed taxes in my name.

I file our taxes using TurboTax if that helps.

  • Question on the cords included with original Super Nintendo system?

I pulled mine out of the closet after all these years:

It came included with an RF adapter cable and a composite cable. I was told from some users here that you can use either one but the composite cable gives better output? So I tried both without the other plugged in and they each worked. But the video/audio output was the exact same...the composite cable output wasn't necessarily better at all?

  • Question about a cord included with original Super Nintendo game system?

I pulled out my original Super Nintendo game system just to see if it worked. It had no problems but I had one question about a specific cord that came included but it works without it?

It's a cord that would plug into the back of the console in the "Multi Out" spot and the other side of the cord is the yellow, red, white cord that plugs into the TV for audio/visual. Again, the Super Nintendo is working just fine without it so do I really need it? What's it for? The only thing that's plugged into the TV is the antenna cord so just wondering what I need this extra cord for. Thanks.

  • 2008 Volvo S40 problem with start up?

This morning, I went to start it up and it wouldn't start up. On the dashboard it said, "Immobilizer try start again" and also flashed up with an anti-skid symbol of some type which it never has done before.

After 2-3 tries of not starting, I tried it again and it started up with no issue just like normal. I drove some place and turned it off and about 45 minutes later got back in the car and it started with no issues. The times it wouldn't start the only noise I heard was almost like a revving up of an engine. It wasn't like a clicking noise such as being a battery problem. And when it started with no issues, there was nothing abnormal noticed with sounds, etc. Just like normal.

Should I be concerned going forward? Thanks!

  • Can a positive HLA-B27 ever change to negative and vice versa over time?

In 2012, I was positive for HLA-B27. I went to the rheumatologist just a few days ago and she said she didn't need to recheck it because I was positive in 2012 and it never changes. Is that true that it never changes years later from positive to negative and vice versa?

The only reason I question it is because I saw someone post something online mentioning their rheumatologist said it could change.

Would it be a good idea just to press my rheumatologist to take another HLA-B27 test in case since it's been 6 years or not?
