I’m out of refills on my prescription medicine, should I call my doctor or the pharmacy? It’s an antidepressant so I need to have it?

Pharmacists can fill out short-term prescriptions, although I'm not sure if they will for anti-depressants. Try calling your doctor to either fax a prescription or book an appointment.

if your prescription is a controlled substance, you will need to go to your doctor and get

a written prescription and take it to the pharmacy in person.

    Call your Doctor .............................................

That depends. Some physicians will not extend a prescription unless the pharmacy calls them or you are in for an examination.

yes you should. they will refill it for you and let you know when you can pick it up.

Call your doctor. If you call the pharmacy, all they can do is call your doctor. Cut out the middleman by doing it yourself.
