Yes it is attainable. I was going to come on and say the same as the first answer. That tuition is more for foreign Students in Canada. But turns out that STILL is a lot cheaper than most USA colleges.

You do have to get extra medical insurance. But check with your current provider and check to see if you can contact a insurance provider within Canada to see if they can offer it. Again, if you are able to pick up insurance within Canada, it might be not as much as you are expecting.

Sure, you have to stay on top of your visa. But I believe apply to the college as a foreign student, and have that with your application and it takes time, but will likely be approved.

Canada is a big place and the USA is a big place. You would have to be more specific to a specific campus before you can start comparing food and lodging.

Canada isn't inexpensive. If you're simply taking into account dollar for dollar exchange, it doesn't work that way.

First, you need a student visa, which they don't just give out. You have to apply and be approved. Most student visas also limit how much you're allowed to work or if you're allowed to work at all which means you have no income.

Second, tuition for international students is more expensive, some times up to double what local students pay.

Third, everything costs slightly more. Food is more expensive, the fast food dollar menus don't exist here for example. Plus you'll need medical insurance since you won't be covered by the government healthcare offered to citizens and permanent residents.

It wouldn't be a money saving experience. It will probably end up costing you more in the long run. But it will be an adventure.
