I say the same thing. The Bible does not mention how the animals were fed and religious drawings always shows a store of hay for the animals but there was never any way their could be meat for the carnivores kept fresh for all that time. How did the kangaroos from Australia get there and then get back across the oceans back to Australia. They aren't that good a swimmers.

Also the Ark supposedly stopped on top of Mount Ararat in Turkey. On top of high mountains there is no grass so letting the animals loose there would have meant the herbivores would starve and likely the carnivores would have eaten them all. Of course the churchy Bible nuts will say it was all done with magic by god.

The actual story may have a little truth in it as apparently in Mesopotamia several thousand years ago an Ark was build but was a circular boat about 15 metres across. Back several thousand years ago the Mediterranean Sea was actually not there and was actually used as farm lands and towns. After the end of the last ice age 10.000 years ago the warming planet started melting the arctic ice and the seas started to rise until several thousand years ago it rose enough to flood over what is not the straights of Gibraltar and started to flood the land now known as the Mediterranean Sea. There has been a Mesopotamian clay tablet found which tells of an Ark being built on a small scale. It was about 15mts across and circular and it was made of wooden beams with animal skins covered in tar to keep the water out. Likely the animals on it were farm animals who largely just ate stored grass. Likely the people killed a goat or sheep if they needed meat.

I would say the story of Noah is another story made up by the Catholic Church during the 13th century where they tried to rewrite the Bible to make if more magical and miracles to hold the church goers in awe of god's powers and make the church look as so they were a direct link to god and the average person could buy favour from the church so they would be rewarded by god.

You do understand that there are animals that have dispersed, become physical different, and physically adapted on a time line involving continents moving about the face of Earth by slow continental drift of a FRACTION OF AN inch a year ?

And on this time line of moving continents; the human life form is a very recent and a very short time event.

And on a worldly time line based on humanoid life form; intelligent (?) human life form is an extremely brief event?

But then? We are talking RELIGION! … I would ask why the religious have so little imagination? But that would be an oxymoron of English language!

I hope you find great comfort in your faith.

When you read the passages that deal with this, you will see that God intervened to make sure the predictors did not eat the prey.

To be fair it was specified to Noah that 7 pairs of animals suitable for eating (presumably cows, poultry, rabbits but not pigs) were included.

Source(s): Far too many precious weekend mornings wasted in Sunday school as a child.

    Right?

Makes you think the whole story is suspiciously unbelievable.

I assume they ate prey animals; or else fish.

Some animals - and they are generally prey animals - reproduce very rapidly. There would be plenty of rabbits and chickens, for instance.

I don't imagine Noah and his family practiced vegetarianism while on the arc.

In fact, the reason many cultures developed meat eating is that this was easier than getting fruits and vegetables all year around. No refrigeration, you know.
