No... don't try these things, nothing has been proven to work. Your hair could become of less quality and fall out due to lack of nutrients, so it could become worse, but the growth is a hormonal thing and it slows down as we age. Some say the inversion method works by lying upside down

Remember that it can't grow overnight.
And don't shampoo every time you shower.
Do a cold-water rinse at the end of each shower.
Apply an oil or mask treatment weekly.
Consider trying hair-boosting supplement.
Brush your hair like it's spun from gold.
Ditch your cotton pillowcase.
